SC moved for placing Musharafs name on ECL
Chief cleric of Lal Masjid Maulana Abdul Aziz has filed the petition.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A petition filed in the Supreme Court, requesting the apex court to issue the order for adding the name of former president Pervez Musharaf in the Exit Control List (ECL).
The petitioner stated that the Lal Masjid operation was conducted on the orders of the former president, adding that the court should order the inclusion of his name to the ECL. The petition includes Musharraf as a party.
The petitioner further stated that Lal Masjid commission summoned at least four time, but he did not appeared before the commission. Therefore, the court issued order to add his name in the ECL, so that he could not leave the country.
